What is the point of our existence and how dose society help or hinder us from recognizing the truth?

How dose the society we live in today give us validation or happyness? Dose it make you a better person if you have more money, or dose is just mean you are more clever or greedy than your fellow man? Dose Religion help us move foward as a species to something better than we have ,or dose it keep things the same? Should war be gloriously validated as part of human nature, or is it just necessary within a monetary system to controll scarce resources? Is government and police in place for our protection, or is it in place to maintain the current consumer economy. Is are current system of resource consolidation and destruction maintainable and good, or are we marching head strong to our own destruction? (or entire society is constructed around and only maintainable by finite resources). My prospectives on these issues are clear. Where do you stand?
