Why did my engine do this?

I was traveling at 110 Km on the highway and all of a sudden my engine just died, no sputtering or anything. For the past year my ignition hasn't been working so I've been jumping it with a screw driver and that's what I did today after waiting 5 minutes and it started normally. Could it be a blockage in the fuel line(I have have a tank full) or overheating(because of: 150Km at 100-130Km an hour) or is it something else?
