Why do some rooms in old houses feel eerie???

yes. My sis went to an old pub the other day and just froze when she walked in. She sat shivering when everyone else was boiling. The landlady got chatting to her and told her many people susceptible to spirits have done the same because this particular pub was haunted. (she then proceeded to get out some printed photographic books of the pub itself and it was actually a renowned haunted pub. My sis feels it all the time.
