Another civil war in the u.s?

I know it sounds ridiculous, but as I look around me I can see the quickly growing rift between republicans and democrats. The federal government is becoming overly powerful, and are beginning to take rights that are guarantied in the Constitution away (second amendment). this is making many people mad (gun rallies). every day it seems like america is getting a little more divided.
