US Constitution Help...socail studies?

Regarding #2--I recall that many delegates thought listing the rights of the people would be too bulky, so to speak, and the Constitution should be short and to the point...Hamilton thought they should not be listed, since the whole idea was that in America, the rights of man would naturally belong to the people. So, to get the Constitution ratified, (as I recall) they left the listing of rights out, then immediately amended the doent with 10 amendments spelling out the rights of the citizen. Sort of a political 'gentlemens' agreement' that is often used even today to get things done.
